Golden Guest Bedroom

For this guest room, the client wanted a classy upgrade but to utilize their existing mirrored dresser. Because this dresser is such a statement piece on it's own, I started with ways to compliment this dresser without over filling the room and creating dizzying distractions in the mirror.

My first thought was to brighten everything, but to keep from getting boring, I added a really unique textured wallpaper behind the bed. It's a handmade wood herringbone veneer with silver "grout". This is when silver became the connecting thread from this room to the dresser.

Because the mirrored dresser also has black detailing, we grounded that color in the nightstands and rug. Lastly we made a custom headboard in a fabulous Schumacher fabric for a pop of color.
