Cozy Mudroom & Sitting Nook

This space used to be a far end hallway of a single story home with 2 bedrooms on each side. With our renovation, we added a brand new garage off this wing of the home and expanded the second floor across. The original laundry room was closer to that of a closet, so the clients wanted to replace one of these bedrooms with a mudroom / laundry room as well as a staircase on this side of the home.

Upon entering the house from the garage, you enter into the mudroom / laundry room & sitting nook where those 2 bedrooms once were. The client wanted a spot near the laundry where they could sit down and read in between washes if they want. Additionally, this nook can serve as an additional spot for guests to relax aside from the bedroom when staying in this wing of the home.

Striking art work wallpaper, warm & dimmable moody lighting, ample storage, laundry baskets and machine tucked behind a half wall to keep it out of main entry site; we achieved all the goals the client had.
