Cozy Mudroom & Sitting Nook

This space was once a narrow end hallway in a single story home, flanked by two bedrooms. As part of our renovation, we added a brand new garage off this wing and expanded the second floor above. The original laundry room was barely more than a closet, so the clients wanted to reimagine one of these bedrooms as a combined mudroom / laundry room and new entryway.

Now, when you enter from the garage, you step into a warm, functional space that includes a sitting nook where the bedrooms once were. The client wanted a spot near the laundry where they could relax between loads - and this nook also doubles as a quiet retreat for guests staying in this part of the home.

With bold statement wallpaper, warm, dimmable lighting, plenty of storage, and laundry baskets tucked behind a half wall, we brought together form and function to meet every goal the client envisioned.
